About WashigraphPhoto
Washigraphphoto is more than just a photo printed on Washi paper
◎Photo Authoring developer, photographer Nobuaki Tanaka, has optimized (mastered) the photographic data to the utmost limit so that it can be optimally printed on Japanese paper, and printed on thick handmade Japanese paper with an organic texture. The result is a work of art that gives the impression of an ink painting or a painting.
Each print is carefully printed by print director Shiro Gouji using Awagami Factory's high-grade prints, which are specially processed from handmade Japanese paper in Tokushima Prefecture for photographic prints.
◎They can be preserved for about 1,000 years in the proper environment.
◎The prints are thick and strong enough to be held in one hand without bending, and can be displayed without framing.
◎The use of up to 10 colors of ink (which does not oxidize and prevents fading) allows for the reproduction of fine, dignified tones and colors.
