Miyabi (雅) is an expression of the way in which elegant beauty is maintained, and is a Japanese term that expresses a profound sense of beauty unique to the Japanese.

The etymology of the word 'miyabi' is 'miyabi', which seems to refer mainly to the courtly, royal and aristocratic (or simply Japanese) elegance, but as the Japanese literary scholar Donald Keene has pointed out, a central feature of the Japanese concept of beauty is undoubtedly its unique sensitivity to the complex interrelationship of 'suggestion or affectation', 'irascibility or irregularity', 'simplicity' and 'fragility'. There is no doubt that this is a unique sensibility that is intricately related to each other.

My photographic journey in pursuit of the 'Japanese elegant = MIYABI' that lies deep within me continues.
